House Sparrows are not a regular occurence in my garden. In fact their numbers have been very low throughout England for many years (according to the RSPB, down 71% between 1977 and 2008, in England) The recent visit of both a male and female was a great surprise. Here, the male seems more interested in collecting some greenfly from the leaves of the Dog-rose :)
