Brown rat (or Common rat - Rattus norvegicus) stuffing its face with blackberries. Soon after, it fell asleep. (Saturday evening, 23rd August, 2025)
I was surprised to learn that the brown rat is a non-native species in UK, and first arrived from central Asia in the 1700's.
In the background you can hear some raucus Black-headed gulls. This footage was taken about 30 minutes after sunset using a thermal scope, in almost complete darkness. The warmer the object, the brighter.
